Despite boasting one of London?s greatest cigar collections, this deeply comfortable room just across the corridor from Locanda Locatelli has such good extraction that even the smoke-shy need not fear to step in for a glass of Champagne or well-made cocktail. The bar?s real strength, however, is its list of over 85 malt whiskies, a favourite with clubbable gents who also come for the dark, wood-panelled ambience. Note that non-residents have to pay a token fee (?5) to use the bar after 11pm.
