The legend behind this whisky dates back to 1263, when a member of the Mackenzie clan saved King Alexander III from a charging stag. This heroic act is captured in a painting that hangs in Edinburgh’s national gallery. 

This whisky is totally unique as it’s matured in a combination of 6 different casks: Bourbon, Sherry, Madeira, Marsala, Port and Cabernet Sauvignon barrels, giving a truly unique and hugely complex dram. The aromas and flavours change every time you bring the glass to your mouth – a true master piece!
