Created in 1966 for President Fidel Castro, Cohiba cigars were hand-rolled exclusively at the legendary El Laguito factory in Havana – a workshop renowned for secrecy, precision, and exceptional quality. Originally reserved for Cuban leaders and diplomats, Cohiba entered the public market in 1982 and immediately became the flagship of Habanos, setting the global standard for luxury cigars.

The name Cohiba originates from an ancient Taino Indian word meaning “tobacco”, used to describe the bundles of leaves first observed by Columbus being smoked by Cuba’s indigenous people – the earliest known form of a Habano. Each Cohiba Siglo VI Tubo is handmade using tobaccos from the finest Vegas de Primera plantations in the San Juan y Martínez and San Luis districts of the Vuelta Abajo region. Cohiba’s unique production includes a third fermentation in wooden barrels, applied to the seco, ligero, and rare medio tiempo leaves, enriching the cigar’s flavour, smoothness, and aromatic complexity.

The Siglo VI Tubo delivers a deeply layered profile – beginning with cedar, espresso, and toasted nuts, building through dark chocolate, spice, and cream, and finishing with honeyed sweetness and earthy depth.
