Wonderful to see King Edwards back on the Market after the long absence caused by COVID-19. Being an ex-service man i was able to purchase these cigars in my Mess & the NAAFI at a reasonable cost. The current price even allowing for inflation is way over the top at £6.72 per cigar.

As a first ever cigar, these were very relaxing. Great flavour when combined with a whiskey.

The snobs will tell you that only a Cuban will doodle-do. Nonsense. These are a good quality smoke, and DO have transitional flavours. OK, the core is straight-up tobacco, but you do get a sweet and pleasant finish. There is also a hint of coffee in there, whilst the draw is not dry, but oily. Smoke texture is quite mallow-like at times, which is very pleasant on the tongue. It's not a strong cigar, and is good for someone looking for a decent timed smoke (burn time is approx 25-30 mins) at a good price. Aroma is pleasant on the burn, but best kept outside as can leave a very stale after-smell inside. I would not turn these down by any means - even after having tried more expensive, better quality, Cubans. Go well with a beer :)

I used to smoke these years ago when I first started enjoying the pleasures of cigars and got along fine with them. For the past five years or so I have smoked only Cuban cigars.
Returning from holiday recently I purchased fifty King Edward invincible deluxe's as I thought they would make a nice, cheap everyday cigar laving my evenings for enjoying my Cubans. Oh what a mistake this was. After five years of smoking quality cigars, going back to these was like smoking cardboard. The flavour was poor throughout the whole cigar, without any change in flavour. The aroma was sickly to the nose. What little flavour there was, was very bland and not enjoyable.
My conclusion to this is that once you have enjoyed the pleasures of Cuban cigars, nothing else comes close to being enjoyable. However if you are just starting out with cigars then King Edwards make for a fairly cheap and mild smoke.
