The Romeo y Julieta Belicosos is a beautifully shaped torpedo cigar offering the brand’s signature medium-bodied balance of flavour, aroma, and smoothness. Named after Shakespeare’s tragic lovers, Romeo y Julieta has been one of the most recognised and admired names in the cigar world since its founding in 1875.
Under the leadership of Don ‘Pepin’ Rodriguez in the early 20th century, the brand gained international fame. Rodriguez, a true visionary, was one of the first cigar makers to recognise the marketing power of the cigar band – at the height of production, more than 20,000 different designs were used.
The brand’s most famous admirer, Sir Winston Churchill, helped cement its place in cigar history. After visiting Havana in 1946, his name was immortalised in the brand’s most iconic size – the Romeo y Julieta Churchill. In later years, the celebrated Short Churchill (2006) and Wide Churchill (2010) vitolas joined the family, expanding the line to meet modern tastes.
Crafted from selected filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region, the Romeo y Julieta Belicosos offers a perfectly balanced and aromatic smoke that epitomises the classic Cuban medium strength profile. The Belicosos delivers a smooth draw and refined notes of cedar, leather, roasted nuts, and subtle spice, finishing with a creamy sweetness that lingers pleasantly on the palate.
With its elegant Campanas shape and impeccable construction, the Romeo y Julieta Belicosos provides a 45–60 minute smoke that is both sophisticated and approachable – ideal for any occasion, whether enjoyed leisurely or shared in good company.
