The Tatuaje 20th Anniversary Grande Chasseur Cigar is a celebratory small-batch release marking two decades of exceptional cigar craftsmanship from Tatuaje Cigars and its founder, Pete Johnson. This Anniversary edition embodies the rich, flavourful style that has defined the brand since 2003—medium to full-bodied, deeply balanced, and crafted with an unmistakably Cuban-inspired philosophy.
Hand rolled in Estelí, Nicaragua at the acclaimed My Father Cigars, the Grande Chasseur is built with select Nicaraguan tobaccos from the Garcia family’s own estates. It features an oily, dark Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and long fillers, finished with a traditional Cuban-style triple cap and a distinctive covered, uncut foot—a hallmark of the Anniversary blend.
On lighting, expect vibrant notes of cedar and pepper, followed by layered flavours of earth, nuts, and warm spice. The profile is both robust and refined, delivering the rich, earthy, spicy complexity that Tatuaje is renowned for, while maintaining the smooth medium-bodied elegance found in classic Cuban cigars that inspired this blend.
Released at the 2023 PCA trade show, the 20th Anniversary line is available in two vitolas—Grande Merveille (6 1/2" × 46) and this Grande Chasseur (6 3/8" × 54). Both sizes were blended by legendary master blender Jose Pepin Garcia and produced in limited quantities, making them highly desirable additions for collectors and Tatuaje enthusiasts alike.
