Trinidad takes its name from the 16th-century city of La Santisima Trinidad (The Holy Trinity), a UNESCO World Heritage Site on Cuba’s south coast. Created in 1969 exclusively for diplomatic gifts, the brand remained one of Cuba’s best-kept secrets until it was released for general sale in 1998.
