The name Cohiba traces back to an ancient Taino Indian word describing the bundles of tobacco leaves first seen by Columbus being smoked by Cuba’s native people – the earliest known form of a Habano. This sense of heritage and exclusivity remains at the core of every Cohiba cigar produced today.

Each Cohiba Siglo II is meticulously hand-rolled using tobaccos from the most select Vegas de Primera plantations in the San Juan y Martínez and San Luis districts of the Vuelta Abajo region – renowned for yielding Cuba’s finest tobacco. Unique to Cohiba, up to three of its filler leaves – seco, ligero, and the rare medio tiempo – undergo a third fermentation in wooden barrels, a process that enriches aroma and ensures unparalleled smoothness and flavour complexity.
