The name Cohiba comes from an ancient Taino Indian word describing the rolls of tobacco leaves that Columbus observed being smoked by Cuba’s native inhabitants – the earliest known form of a Habano. This timeless heritage is reflected in every cigar that bears the Cohiba name.

Each Cohiba Siglo III Tubo is meticulously hand-crafted from tobaccos grown in the Vuelta Abajo region’s finest Vegas de Primera plantations, located in San Juan y Martínez and San Luis. Only the most select leaves are used, and up to three of the filler leaves – seco, ligero, and medio tiempo – undergo an additional fermentation in wooden barrels. This process, unique to Cohiba, enhances the cigar’s smoothness, complexity, and distinctive aroma.
