San Cristobal Cigars

Strength: Light to Medium

San Cristobal de la Habana cigars embody the spirit, elegance, and deep-rooted history of Cuba’s capital city. Taking their name from the original title of Havana when it was founded in 1519 — “San Cristobal” (St Christopher) in honour of the saint of the day, and “La Habana” after the indigenous name for the area — the brand was launched in 1999 as a tribute to the city’s rich cultural heritage and enduring importance in the world of cigars.

The original San Cristobal range featured four vitolas, each named after one of Havana’s iconic fortresses built between the 16th and 18th centuries to protect the city during the height of Spain’s American empire: El Morro, La Fuerza, La Punta, and El Principe. In 2004, the collection expanded to include three additional cigars inspired by Havana’s most famous historic streets: Muralla, Mercaderes, and Oficios.

Each San Cristobal de la Habana cigar is crafted from premium tobaccos grown in the fertile soils of Cuba’s Vuelta Abajo region — home to the world’s finest cigar leaf. Made entirely by hand using the Tripa Larga, Totalmente a Manotechnique (long filler, totally handmade), these cigars deliver a light to medium-bodied profile that is elegant, aromatic, and perfectly balanced.

Expect delicate flavours of sweet wood, floral spice, and soft cream, supported by subtle hints of honey and toasted nuts. Their refined character makes them ideal for daytime enjoyment or pairing with a mild coffee or light rum.

A celebration of Havana’s proud heritage, San Cristobal de la Habana cigars offer aficionados a graceful and distinguished expression of Cuba’s cigar-making tradition — where history, craftsmanship, and sophistication unite in every puff.
