A little roughly constructed, especially near the cap. I thought a v cut would be a little kinder to this cigar, but it still wanted to unravel on me. A little moisture got things stuck down enough to continue. The burn was beautifully even, the ash quite flakey but held to the second third. Flavour improved quickly after lighting, quite creamy with strong almonds and coffee bean. I felt this cigar required my attention all the way through to keep it at its best. A few purges along the way certainly helped. I paired with bourbon, and there was a flavour there that kept me going back, kind of a nutty marzipan chocolate, and it led me to smoke this right down to the very nub. I've wanted to try one of these for a while, and even though the construction wasn't the best, it was still a pleasant smoke, that actually ended a little quicker than I'd have liked!

This is a mild cigar. Mild as in...REALLY mild. So much so that my wife is super sensitive to smells (she's not really a cigar fan in general) and says she's not put off by the smell of the Quorum Robusto. The draw was smooth and free flowing, and the feel of the cigar on the lips was pretty good too. But the flavour was so like a timid mouse refusing to come out into the light. You know it's there, but cannot quite get a hold of it. Thankfully there is that lovely cigar aftertaste that sits for a while. So I am happy to smoke this more frequently...especially near my wife.

A disappointing cigar, even at the low price. If you're looking for budget Robustos then for a little more money the La Rica is a better choice.
