The Cohiba Siglo II Tubo offers a refined Cuban cigar experience, presented in an elegant aluminium tube to ensure freshness and convenience. This Petit Corona vitola perfectly balances medium to full-bodied strength with exceptional smoothness, delivering the signature flavour and aroma that define the Cohiba name.
First crafted in 1966 for President Fidel Castro, Cohiba cigars were originally rolled at the El Laguito factory in Havana – a once secret facility reserved for cigars destined for Cuban leaders and visiting diplomats. In 1982, Cohiba was introduced to the public and immediately became recognised as the flagship of Habanos, symbolising quality, luxury, and tradition.
The name Cohiba comes from the ancient Taino Indian word for the bundles of tobacco leaves first observed by Columbus being smoked by Cuba’s indigenous people – the earliest known form of a Habano. This sense of history continues to shape the Cohiba legacy.
Each Cohiba Siglo II Tubo is hand-rolled using tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo region’s finest Vegas de Primeraplantations, located in San Juan y Martínez and San Luis. Unique to Cohiba, up to three filler leaves – seco, ligero, and the rare medio tiempo – undergo an additional fermentation in wooden barrels, a process that enhances aroma, depth, and overall refinement.
The Siglo II Tubo delivers a sophisticated progression of flavours, beginning with cedar, coffee, and roasted nuts, evolving into hints of cocoa, honey, and gentle spice. Its even burn, creamy texture, and aromatic finish make it a superb choice for those seeking an authentic Cuban smoke in a portable and stylish presentation.
