The story of My Father Cigars begins with José “Pepin” Garcia, born in Cuba in 1950. At just 11 years old, Pepin rolled his first cigar, sparking a lifelong passion that would lead him to become one of the most respected names in the cigar world. Renowned for uncompromising quality, artistry, and tradition, Pepin and his family have built an enduring legacy.

In 2003, the Garcia family opened a small factory in Little Havana, Miami. By 2009, they expanded to Nicaragua with the creation of the My Father Cigars Factory (Garcia Family Industrial Park)—a seven-acre facility dedicated to cultivating, fermenting, blending, and hand-rolling premium cigars. This fully integrated process allows the family to maintain complete control over quality, ensuring exceptional consistency and excellence.

Working alongside his son Jaime Garcia, Pepin has crafted a portfolio of acclaimed blends, including the award-winning Flor de las Antillas, crowned Cigar Aficionado’s Cigar of the Year in 2012. Their cigars are celebrated for their smooth, complex, and distinctive flavours, ranging from bold, full-bodied smokes to refined, approachable blends.
