The name Cohiba originates from an ancient Taino Indian word describing the bunches of tobacco leaves that Columbus first observed being smoked by the native people of Cuba – the earliest form of the Habano. This legacy continues to define the brand’s deep cultural and historical roots.

Each Cohiba Siglo III is hand-crafted from tobaccos grown in the most select Vegas de Primera plantations in the San Juan y Martínez and San Luis districts of the Vuelta Abajo region – home to the finest tobacco in the world. Only Cohiba applies an exclusive third fermentation process to its filler leaves – seco, ligero, and the rare medio tiempo – aged in wooden barrels to achieve unmatched smoothness, aroma, and depth of flavour.
