The Montecristo Media Corona offers all the depth and richness of Montecristo in a compact, perfectly balanced size. Media Corona literally translates as “Half Corona” — a format first introduced to the UK in 1907 by an English importer who wanted a shorter cigar to enjoy before the theatre without keeping his wife waiting.

This practical yet elegant size quickly became a sensation, accounting for one in every thirty Havana cigars sold in the UK during the 1920s and 1930s. Though the format eventually faded from popularity, it was revived in 2011 by H. Upmann — and now Montecristo brings its own distinguished interpretation.

Hand-crafted in Cuba from the finest Vuelta Abajo tobaccos, the Media Corona is a medium to full-bodied cigar offering rich notes of earth, cocoa and spice within a short 20-minute smoke. At just 3½ inches, it remains the shortest long-filler handmade Cuban cigar available — small in size but full of Montecristo’s legendary character.
